I have had both good and...not so good experiences here, and yet I still rate them a 5 star. Here's why. This is a wholesale plant nursery and you have to have an account with them (similar to Costco) in order to do business with them. Therefore, they do not get the average Joe walking in very often. On Customer Service: From a new-comers perspective the place can be intimidating: the employees Might seem suspicious or unwilling to help at first, and signs are not posted everywhere so it is a little hard to know where to go or who to talk to. In reality, they are simply Extremely busy and focused on their work and potentially nervous or shocked at seeing someone new (but they are not intentionally being rude), and the lack of signs gives the front office a 'homey' vibe once you've been there a time or two. My second time there, everyone I encountered in my first visit, who seemed a little rude at first, remembered me and seemed much more friendly the next time. On Product: The plants are always in good or great condition! They take excellent care of the plants there! On Price: Their prices are the best, hands down. I have gotten cheaper plants on discount at other places before, but they were not as healthy or high quality and often died. At Kat I have only had a handful of plant causalities out of the hundreds of plants that I have purchased from them.
Best place for wholesale plants and landscape materials! Highest quality plants we have found in the midwest! Patricia takes great care of us and it's always a pleasure to do business with them.
