I've returned here time and again. The views are absolutely spectacular. Seems like we chose Hippie Week to explore the Siskiyou Shasta area this year because they were everywhere, playing their music loudly and disturbing the peace of the natural environment whilst condemning the same big government that paved the road for them to drive their hippie bus to the top, so that was annoying On a positive note, you get this illusion that you're not far from the summit, and the further you walk, the closer you'll feel to it. I highly recommend this pace to any hiker willing to test their limits. Make it a bucket list item to climb to the summit.

1. You can drive up till this point which is closest to see Shasta mountain. 2. Great place with tables , go here for lunch/noon time as it will get cold and windy. 3. Lot of parking is available. 4. You can even hike for upto 10k feet I believe , above which you need permit. This place is at 7800ft
Nice short hike excellent views
GORGEOUS. But only accessible by vehicle when there's minimal snow. So if you're going to drive up here, find out if It's open first
Top 3 of my favorite places I have ever been....and I'm greatful I was able to live my entire life within a few miles of this Mountain... It's great for kids and you can do different hikes depending on how far you want to go , great views, also tables for a picnic if you just want to enjoy the views , I reccommend sunscreen and extra water and food , jacket and if you plan to hike more than a few minutes ..... Well worth it ..
