Slippery Slope Stables

EXCELLENT! Darren (sales) was honest and extremely helpful. We initially wanted to extend hardwood in one area instead of carpet, but Darren consulted with others to verify that the new wood would not hold stain at the same rate of old wood so the end result would not be satisfactory. We ended up spending less to go with carpet due to his honesty. The installers (Ron, Tom and Jeremy) were fantastic. Seams are perfect and nearly invisible in carpet, no damage to baseboards or walls, complicated curved staircase looks fabulous and luxury vinyl tile floor and threshold were installed extremely well. Everyone was extremely professional, courteous, and efficient. Good follow-up and communications. GREAT overall experience! We highly recommend them.

Firstly, Darren Holder, of At Your Door Floor Store was extremely professional, and knowledgeable, about both flooring and carpeting. His detailed information helped us choose a gorgeous vinyl floor as well as carpeting. He made shopping very easy. And, he came to our house, with many samples, which was a pleasure. We appreciated his mild disposition, no pressure, or stress at all. Thank you, Darren Holder. Secondly, We had the best experience with the installers, Ron, Jeremy and Tom. They were each, very professional, extremely clean, (wore masks), and did excellent detailing while installing our luxury vinyl plank flooring and carpeting on our 10 steps and on hallway. They worked, in unison, keeping our house neat, swept, and as clean as possible with so much flooring installation going on. The detailing around iron banisters, both into carpet on steps, and on vinyl flooring was perfection. They also moved some heavy furniture, without a problem, and returned to the right spot. We are so happy that we chose At Your Door Carpet One Floor and Home Store. Much more satisfying than any big box store! We highly recommend this company to everyone.

The staff are great to work with, but we have had a lot of problems with the carpet we bought from them and had them install. We started having nails come up and fraying edges the first week. The installation on the stairs was especially bad; the carpet was cut slightly smaller than the pad so you can see the pad peeking around the edge. Four years later and we are still having nails come up through the carpet. The tack strips’ nails also still poke up through the carpet. When we encountered these problems right after the carpet was laid, we were told this often happened and would get better with time. They sent us a discount card on further purchases as compensation. Another problem is the carpet is not wearing well - looked worn after only a year. Replacing the carpet at this point would be a major hassle requiring moving all of our furniture back into storage again, only to work with the same company that didn’t do the job right and the same materials that didn’t hold up all over again. Just posting as a warning to others.
