I have been playing rugby for about 5 years now, and it has been an amazing experience. I have been with the Budd Bay Bandits for the 5 years. We have even won playoffs and made it to California one of the seasons. A great group of ladies and program all together. The club takes care of the players and we do events and other things to help out in the community. Our support system is amazing from our community, our club staff and the other team in the league. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for the club. Interested in playing please check out Budd Bay Rugby.

Budd Bay RFC is a great rugby club with lots of up and coming youth teams and fun competitive men’s and women’s teams. It’s a great way to keep fit and get yourself involved in the community through sport. The coaches are knowledgable and make it fun for all ages! Personally, after moving from England to Olympia, WA in 2016, joining the club has been the best thing I could’ve done as it’s helped me be part of the community, quickly make friends and win some rugby games! It’s more than just a club, come get involved.

Budd Bay Rugby is a great organization dedicated to bringing rugby to the South Sound community. If you are interested in getting back into rugby or want to try something new and exciting, people of all ages, shapes and sizes are welcome. I support this organization and hope you do too.

I am one of the founders of this club. We were just a small group of men looking to keep playing rugby after college; and now have grown to also include Women, HS Boys and Girls, Middle school age and pee-wee's! With the additions, growing pains were inevitable. Issues within the club will happen, all families have them, but that shouldn't stop any new people from coming out and trying rugby for the first time or if you're a seasoned player new to the area looking to get back out. Always looking for more people to grow and enjoy the rugby life!

I’ve been a part of this club for 3 years and have nothing but respect for those who volunteer to run the programs and coach the teams. I had never played Rugby before and this club has given me such a great opportunity to make friends and explore the world of Rugby. I would highly recommend anyone to join!

Budd Bay showed me a new and amazing sport over six years ago. The coaching staff for every team has been amazing, the players and people surrounding the club work diligently and awesomely. Some of the things being said by FORMER members of the club are childish because this club kicks ass!! You’ll never find a better group of people to play with. I’ve played not only with the highschool girls team and now i play for the women’s team. The only reason i would leave is because soon I’ll be shipping off to the military and I’m so sad I have to eventually go!!!!

There are a couple reviews on this page that are partisan to a certain point of view, those people have skewed views because of personal relations on and off the pitch. A certain someone had a son who played for the club and decided it was okay for him and his friends to break In to our clubhouse, trash it and then decide that they were not the culprits. Another point of view, was a team manager but, decided to let personal allegiances decide how she viewed the club because her best friend was no longer named team captian. Which, in turn her “allegiance” decided to start a rival woman’s rugby club here in Olympia as well. Me personally, I have made amazing friendships and reiterated past friendships throughout the club through comradery, I love this club, I wear shirts and sweatshirts every day to help expand and recruit so that everyone has the same experience I continue to have. If you are looking for a family for who you can turn to for not only sports related problems, but life problems, then come join us.
