Not ideal for small growing web companies. While the hosting is great in terms of speed and ease, it's offset by their pricing model and lack of customer service. Earlier this year we had to add a site to our plan, but it would require upgrading to the next tier. That next tier package for designers is LARGE increase from their starter plan. It's shady and silly that they don't offer an in-between package, especially in such strained economic times. However, they sell it to you by saying you'll have a dedicated account manager. And after nearly a year, I'm still not sure who mine is. And during the set up, it was weeks before I was even assigned one / communicated with. So in essence, I have to dig through emails because those dedicated account managers don't actually reach out and talk to customers. The Account Manager didn't so much as check up on me when my plan was renewing... Which would have been helpful considering Flywheel somehow had the wrong email address on my account (what company doesn't verify emails these days?)-- and since I got other notifications from people at Flywheel regarding other things, I had no idea the email address was not valid. So I had a surprise FULL YEAR charge this month, and I did utilize customer service for a change. While they're trying to make it right, the whole experience just reminds me how many little details this company is missing... And those were the details that drew us here in the first place. Since our upgrade earlier this year, they've really just left a bad taste in my mouth and I caution anyone considering this company if you're a smaller web company.

We tried several hosting through the years and we ended up sticking with flywheel for their amazing customer service that WORKS. They are available, helpfull and oftentimes, they go above and beyond what other hosting companies would not be helpfull. The hosting is also reliable with no downtime... I can't remember the last time we had one compared to all the bluehost, godaddy, hostgator ..... We first moved most of our websites to flywheel because of the japanese hacks. They offer to clean all websites from any malware which was amazing from their part. We are now hosting 100% of our sites on Flywheel. Can't recommend them enough.

This company has put my business in jeopardy. This promised and told me if I migrated to them that would be easy transition and they would do all of the migration. I expressed multiple times to the sales rep Dillion, that I am just the owner I am not the developer and I did not want to mess up anything. He assured me that it would be a smooth process and I would not have to do anything but get the loggins. It is now going on a week in my site and email have been down. Fly wheel also does not have anybody to talk to on the phone you have to go through their support ticket system which is horrific. It is non-responsive and all they do is send you article links and they do not help at all. Once I started to migrate my site I learned that fly wheel is not a hosting company they do not provide any name servers, which the sales rep failed to mention. He knew that I needed those services and I was trying to streamline into one place that could manage that. Once he close the deal and once I start to migration process, I had no help and I found out that they do not offer any name servers. The hosting company asked why are you paying them when they don't offer hosting all they do is host your content so you would be paying twice in two different accounts opposite of what I wanted. They also have provided low level support that I have documentation they provided wrong information on multiple occasions. The sales manager Ben Jackson was rude and would not give me his managers information to share my experience. I would not recommend this company.

I've been a Flywheel customer now for more than 4 years. I've been trying to think if I've had a single negative experience with anyone on their team in that time and I can't think of a single one. I also can't think of a particularly frustrating time where I've been trying to work with their system or fix a problem. These guys are great! That's all there is to it. If you've got a WordPress site and think you're saving money with some economy shared hosting plan, do yourself a favor and go ahead and let Flywheel migrate your site over to them for free. The savings you'll experience in less stress and concern and worry, will FAR OUTWEIGH the price difference. And if you're still not convinced reach out to me personally and I'll help you with any questions you may have.

Very difficult to get in touch with. When calling, you get a machine that refers you to a website to work with their support team...where it requires you sign up, but then it won't let you sign up :(
