Hello. I am a tech fan. But my knowledge of computers is pretty poor. I contacted Friendly PC and had the pleasure of speaking with Jared (please forgive if I misspelled). He was extremely “friendly” and helpful during our telephone conversation. I had several questions about pricing and upgrading my current setup. The Google reviews caught my attention. But Jared and his professionalism will have me recommending Friendly PC to others.

Friendly computers \don't care\ when you have issues with them. I wanted my computer ungraded. During the quoting process they were friendly and knowledgeable. I decided on a new motherboard, 16 gb DDR4 3200 Corsair Dominator Platinum RAM, a Samsung 512 nvme ssd drive, a new i7 7700 CPU and a new water cooler. Total quote price, 1,423.09. During our discussion I told them my computer was 5 years old and needed cleaning as well. They said there would be no cost since they were replacing so many of the computers components. They special ordered the parts, I waited for the parts to come in, and then made the appointment to have the work done. After doping off my computer, they called me to tell me they saved me 30 by getting the wrong ram. I ordered 3200, but they only had 3000 RAM. I know it's not a huge difference but I'm paying a lot of money, and have put a lot of thought and research into this build. I was not happy! Then I get a call saying that my case was dirty and had \smoke damage\ (I smoke cigarettes) so if I wanted the computer done that day, I would need to buy a new case, or I could pay another 100 to have it cleaned and wait additional day/days (?) for the work to be done. Even though they said they would clean my 5 year old computer at no charge as part of the new build. I asked why they didn't mention this at the quote process, they said because they don't ask people if they smoke. So if it is not important enough to ask, then why would it be important enough to charge me 100 more? It felt like they were trying to up sell me, after the fact that they didn't have the correct ram that I ordered. When I informed the manager that I would cancel the work order if I was charged for cleaning, he said I could come pick it up. In the end, I told them I was un-happy with the way it was handled. I told them I would be giving them a negative review. The workers response of \do what ever you want I don't care\ was not all that friendly.

After a 4 day nightmare of getting new parts and trying to get them to work together I was at my wits end and desperate for some help. I unsuccessfully called everywhere I could find until I finally got to Friendly PC and Jared picked up the phone. I think he could hear the stress in my voice because within 20mins I was at their front door and he was digging into my PC. Bent pins, incorrect wiring, and even some potential issues I may see in the future were all uncovered and corrected. Within a few hours with Jared my nightmare was over and now I'm sitting with this beastly, beautiful rig. These guys are absolutely worth the time and money if you're having issues.

We made the switch to place everything on the cloud and to switch from a variety of different storage devices and storage methods to Office 365 and SharePoint. Rob (the owner) and Dave (the tech guy) did awesome. So many times when you do this migration there ends up being an \unforeseen issue.\ Not with these guys. Everything works great and the price was very reasonable. Thank you.

These guys are great! Very knowledgeable, lots of follow through. They also helped me figure out whether I had a computer problem or an internet problem. It was some of both. Don't bother calling Cox!
