Other that being there for a bit, everyone there was very polite and did a great job. The Doc answered wall my question and the staff displayed stellar customer service skills. I will be looking forward to my follow up appt.

First I was told I’d need to wait 45 min because she called my insurance and they told her they were in a meeting and hung up on her so I waited, and waited. 2 hours later a girl came out to put closed signs on the door and turn off the open sign. Another lady came to the window and again told me they couldn’t get ahold of anyone at my insurance so they would not be able to treat me because I was a first time patient and they needed my insurance. I sat in pain and wasted 2 hours.

The staff here really make you feel heard and understood. I saw David Kershner, PA, and he was able to treat my wound on the spot (after I waited far too long) and got me a prescription and some great burn supplies. The hours are totally awesome bc of course no one gets hurt/sick during regular business hours, so this is the cherry on top for me.

Until (or unless) the Affordable Care Act actually comes to fruition, I am one of the working uninsured who must self-pay for my medical care. I try to take care of myself, but about once a year or two, I need an antibiotic for something that just won't go away on its own or with natural treatment. When that happens, I go to Heartland Emergicare because I know they will listen, not order unnecessary tests, and will accommodate my desire to have the best prescription at the lowest cost. It's off 23rd and M and has easy access. Heartland Emergicare is clean, reasonably priced, friendly, professional, and absolutely the best urgent care I've ever been to. The medical personnel and support staff are outstanding. Their walk-in office visit price of 80 is far less than many of the other local urgent cares.Whether you have insurance or not, if you don't have a primary physican, or you have an emergency that doesn't require an emergency room, go here.

I walked in and signed in at 8:20 AM. They are supposed to open at 8 AM to see patients. There's a button that you have to push \for service\. I pushed that button several times before someone even came up front-10 minutes later. A young girl came up front and seemed to immediately get an attitude with me. She asked me what she could help me with, I told her I would like to see a doctor. Her next question was, do you have insurance? She ended up calling someone to see if they took my insurance. My insurance is very common in Nebraska, a division of United Health Care. The person must have told her yes. She then asked me what I needed to see a doctor for. I told her. She then proceeded to tell me that unless I was bleeding, or having a heart attack, the doctor was in a meeting until 9 AM and he couldn't see me until then. I live in the South Omaha area and thought I could go to a clinic close to home for emergicare. I was wrong! I had to drive all the way to Rockbrook Urgicare to be seen! I will NEVER go to Heartland again and I will find the proper authorities to report this incident to also. A complete failure of the health care system here in Omaha.
