My husband and I are not typically people who stay at Bed and Breakfasts. We tend to like to keep to ourselves, especially when we have a romantic night away. This stay was absolutely amazing. Casey was a great hostess and made us feel welcomed into the home. Although there was the option to interact with the other guests, our privacy was still well respected and we had a great little romantic getaway. The Italian Room was absolutely beautiful and extremely clean. You can definitely tell that the owners not only love the house and it's history, but also genuinely love owning a bed and breakfast. HIGHLY recommend!

Stayed here for my father's wedding. The estate is stunning with lots of natural beauty and Victorian architecture. The house is extremely well furnished yet maintains it's historical charm. Felt very taken care of, there were gluten free options for evening wine and cheese and breakfast too! The hosts knew alot about the property and it's history and were able to help my father and his wife find the perfect locations on the estate to hold the ceremony. Thank you for the nice stay!
My boyfriend and I had booked a stay over Valentines Day weekend and it could not have been more perfect. First and foremost the Mayhurst Inn is situated in the most beautiful scenery. The land is absolutely vast and I cannot wait to come back when it's warmer out to explore the property more. Secondly the estate is gorgeous, I felt absolutely transported back in time while still enjoying a 5 star experience. I had purchased the romance package which was quite amazing. Great champagne, beautiful bouquet of roses and delicious chocolate covered strawberries. While we had planned to go wine tasting on Saturday, we had gotten hit with a pretty bad ice storm. Casey and Jason were very fast to accommodate and had made on the fly a lasagna dinner and had wine at the ready. I 1,000% recommend this inn to anyone and everyone looking for a getaway. I cannot wait to come back :)
We had our wedding at Mayhurst in October and it was incredible. Casey and Jason are fantastic owners and truly go above and beyond to make sure their guests are happy. They were always taking our calls to help plan the wedding and make the process as smooth as possible so that my wife and I could enjoy the day. They clearly have so much passion for creating an amazing space for love and gathering. Having our guests able to stay at the venue was awesome. and the next day breakfast was fantastic... I will never forget that bacon.
The new Inn's keep, Jason and Casey (and family) are awesome and friendly. They have some very good plans for the grounds and look forward to coming back.
My wife and I came for a short babymoon and our stay was amazing! Jason and Casey were so friendly and hospitable and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. We will definitely be back again!
We stayed for New Year's, and had a wonderful time. The Southern Charm room was spacious and cozy, and the grounds were fun to explore -- we especially liked saying hi to the goats and lambs. Casey was a gracious host; she accommodated our dietary restrictions and generally went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
A lovely getaway in a beautiful and historical Virginia estate! The gourmet breakfasts were divine, and the owners could not have been more gracious and accommodating!
