Its amazing that we've been in fear of nuclear power plants and believed how bad they are. Just take a look at what is happening in California with constant blackout and fires.

Nuclear power is the best power. To answer others concerns it has to be next to water to help with cooling. Also there is no pollution emitted it’s water vapor which is what clouds are made of so it could even increase rainfall in this very dry state.

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. A nuclear power plant in Utah? Ugh. I might want to move now.

To the Idiot who says "who puts a nuclear power plant right next to a water supply." everyone does that is one of the main safety features of the power plant is that it has a large supply of cool water to cool it down. If you knew anything at all about nuclear power plants is that when you don't have a supply of fresh cool water that is when disaster strikes. If you want Chernobyl in Utah then let's stick it in the middle of a dessert with no fresh water

I 100% support this. I have done my research for two school projects, and as a 16 year old I can confidently say that this is exactally what Utah needs. People dont look past Chernobyl. They dont look for the positive effect on the economy or on Utah's energy output when its finished.

This is great! I think this is the thing that Utah really needs right now. I personally am studying nuclear engineering and hope to help the effort to bring nuclear to the western United States.

People please get your facts right, Nuclear problems in Japan have ended. Our company has decommissioned the site and as for the water supply problem ALL NUCLEAR NEED WATER NEXT TO THE PLANT. The water used is than stored and separated from clean water sources. This is a project that will move forward even with everyone lies trying to down grade Nuclear. UTAH NEEDS THIS WITH COAL PLANTS GOING INTO RETIREMENT. Where will you get 13,000 MEGA WATTS of energy when Coal is decommissioned. UTAH NEEDS RENEWABLE SOURCES NOT BURNING FUELS THAT HURT THE EARTH!

before any of you decide to write a review or any sort of comment on here, whether you are in favor of this or you are against this, DO SOME RESEARCH BEFORE YOU POST A BLATANTLY FALSE STATEMENT FOR PEOPLE TO SEE. all power plants are near a source of water, cooling, this does not mean that "the water supply will get contaminated" this simply means that it will most likely be used for evaporative cooling towers. and "Amy M." get your facts straight. I do not know where you are getting your sources but if you have any knowledge of atomic decay you would know that all of the elements you listed are just by-products of the fission reaction and some of these kind of elements end up in your home in things that keep you alive. If the cores from the Fukushima-daiichi reactor were in the ocean you would know about it. and everybody that went swimming in the ocean would get acute radiation poisoning. simply your accusations are false. you are basing your "facts" on knowledge that your father is telling you because he has supposedly worked in the industry. if you want to debate about this, learn what you are talking about before you make false accusations and make yourself look bad.
