Fort Terry - Plum island _____ Fort Terry was a coastal fortification on Plum Island, a small island just off Orient Point, New York, United States. This strategic position afforded it a commanding view over the Atlantic entrance to the commercially vitalLong Island Sound. It was established in 1897 and used intermittently through the end of World War II. In 1952, it became a military animal and biological warfare (BW) research facility, moving to civilian control in 1954 as the Plum Island Animal Disease Center. However, the biological warfare mission continued under civilian control until 1969, when the US ended offensive BW research. The island is now being considered for sale or conversion to a wildlife refuge.

Wildlife is pretty cool, saw some exotic animals. Found a guy swimming on the beach, he had a weird British accent, probably doesn’t matter. Food was pretty good too.

Tried to check it out. Got chased away by who I assume was the tower's owner. I snapped a pic before he snapped me in half

We've been looking for our next pet for months and finally found it here. Funny looking guy, but super cute. The best feature is that his eyes glow at night so we were able to get rid of our nightlights.

To the dude who told us to stop making fake reviews- no. Most of us are a bunch of teens who could be doing worse. Also, why are my gerbils eyes red?
