I have been seeing Michelle N. regularly for a while now. I recently went through some major life transitions and Michelle has helped me through the worst of it. I recommend Michelle wholeheartedly for anyone seeking a caring, genuine therapist. I have a deep appreciation for her practice and how amazing she is at what she does. It is obvious that Michelle takes her role as a therapist very seriously - she puts in the work during and after each session. The minute I spoke to her on the phone for my initial consultation, I knew she was the one. Her confidence in her ability to help me, her ease of conversation, and her warmth and friendliness made me feel at ease from the start! The progress I have made with therapy is something that Michelle and I have worked on together. I feel like she really knows and understands me. I have never felt like I was too much for her to handle. Her intelligence, confidence, and expertise is unmatched. Therapy with Michelle is an active part of my life and coping tool-kit. It is one of the best decisions I have ever made and I am so glad I found her. Even my significant other has noticed just how beneficial therapy has been for me and how those positive effects have trickled down to making our relationship stronger. Life can be tough. The challenges I face, at times, are too much for me. Recently my mom passed away from brain cancer and I needed a safe place to unpack some of the emotions that were tangled up in that season. Tim Burkholder is my counselor. Through the sessions I have had with him, I am beginning to unpack layers of self loathing and low self esteem that I thought I had dealt with. Tim asks perfectly stated questions that cause me to look introspectively, as I search for the reasons why. I love my sessions with Tim. The staff at Charis have all been great and kind as well. Everyone needs an arm around the shoulder sometimes. Charis Counseling and Tim Burkholder, are that arm for me.
