This place is pretty clean and the kids loved it. Multiple campgrounds give a variety to choose from, with Blackjack being my favorite. Full water and electric hookups are conveniently at each site. The beach is close to that campground as well. Additionally, the West Point campground is equestrian and also has a part of it with yurts. Across from that campground, there are hunting cabins, and we saw someone skinning a deer that they had hung up in front of one of them. There are also sites that are double (connected) such as those in Blackjack (I believe sites 214 and 215 as an example). Those are perfect for those who have two campers being able to be parked close to each other. The sunsets were beautiful on the lake. Boating looked great as well, though we didn't do that ourselves. We did see someone parasailing though which was pretty cool. Also, maybe it's expected, but there were quite a few seagulls at the beach which we've personally never seen when camping at any place in the Midwest. The wind was pretty bad on our last day there, though not sure if that's normal at this time of the year there. Raccoons were pretty rampant there as well, though I've never been at any campground where that wasn't a problem to some extent. Quite a few deer there as well.

We met 3 park rangers total and all were friendly and very helpful. The park is huge and the views are beautiful. The camping spots are easy to access and the multiple dump station is extremely convenient for Sunday mornings. Great experience and great park

Eisenhower State Park is a nice park. We stayed in the Doud loop. Our site had a lot of space between any other spots. The spots had water and power. The bathrooms were new with hot showers. They have a nice swim beach that is well protected from the rest of the lake. The beach is on the smaller side, but it is one of the nicer beaches we have been to. They have a few walking trails. Some of the better ones are near the archery range. They are in the woods. I would suggest this park and will be returning again.

Eisenhower State Park is at Melvern Lake...Melvern Lake is one of my favorite lakes in Kansas because it has great beachy areas and a marina with everything you need for your trip. Everyone is friendly and the campsites are always clean and mowed well with access to the lake steps away from your tent. Great for fishing!

The biggest expense was the five dollar day pass, but the park is always beautiful. This year the lake was way up, which was a different experience. Our usual swimming spot was closed down, for safety reasons. But we got to see the spillway open at full blast. The park rangers were friendly and helpful.
