Only gave a star review because I was busy at the time. Now that I have time, *clears throat*... Nice little store tucked away in a place nobody would ever think a guitar shop would be. It is full of vintage and newly made (Guyatone) guitars, basses and amps. They have so many guitars for sale! If you can afford vintage prices, do shop here! (They also have a Reverb page, iirc)

In April of 2019, I bought a guitar from Demont Guitars in Oswego, IL. It was a 50th Anniversary Tokai Hummingbird-in Both the product and the customer service were absolutely great! Actually, I was so impressed with the quality of the guitar, I asked that Demont guitars send my regards and appreciation to the craftsmen in Japan. As awesome of a guitar as it is, sometimes things just happen. In my instance, a weld on the bridge did not hold, so the tremolo function no longer worked. I can’t tell you how bummed I felt... Knowing the guitar was out of warranty, I reached-out to Demont for repair advice. That’s all, just repair advice. This crew was SO AWESOME! They genuinely felt bad for my situation, and immediately responded to offer their support! They reached out to the Tokai guitar luthiers in Japan, while assuring me that they could still help me, even if Tokai couldn’t. The Tokai luthiers responded and made a completely NEW replacement part just for me! I was ecstatic to hear this! I own several guitars, and this is easily one of my favorites! Do you know that Tokai charged me? 0.00 Do you know what Demont Guitars charged me? 0.00 I was not charged a single dime, by anyone on the supply chain process of repair! Both Nate and Dorian who work at Demont Guitars were INCREDIBLY helpful and proactively communicative throughput the entire process. Thank you both SO much! I once read that “It’s not so important what happens to you, but how you react to what happens to you.” Demont Guitars, Tokai, and I, all worked together to exemplify this idea. I am a 100% satisfied customer as a result!
