I just bought a house and recieved a bill for 70, what exactly do they do? I can tell you what they dont do is answer their phones.

I am beyond fuming right now! I paid my bill at 8 am today. The lady said that someone would be here between between 3pm and 5pm. I had to leave work early so I could be home. I have been calling the emergency phone line since 530. Finally someone called me at 7pm to tell me there is some kind of disconnect and a tech can't come out and i have to call back MONDAY!!!! I am now being punished for their mistake and they are telling me there is nothing they can do and the lady on the phone was beyond rude and hung up!!!!! I have proof that I have paid and they took my money but apparently that was not good enough!!!!!!!! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!
William, retired plumber here. There is no such thing as a relief valve in Fox Metro's system. From your description, you likely have an issue in the drainage system that connects your house to the city sewer. Usually it's a clogged pipe. I'd suggest having a plumber inspect and clear out your sewer line.
My experience is with when it rains steady that water backs up from the sewer data on into my basement. Don't they look at the forcast. Relief valves should be opened in anticipation if no one is there overnight
I used to work there. Their Human Resource Manager actually allows an individual to sleep in his truck all night long. Sexual harassment is allowed. It was directed at me for over three years. The reason why the place stinks so bad is because management allows their favorite employees to lay around and do nothing all shift. What a big drain on your taxes, thanks to incompetent management.
