I finally found it. The little slice of “home” that takes me back to Southern California and it’s abundance of authentic Dim Sum and other not so Americanized Chinese food. To my surprise the ABC Chicken was almost exactly the same as the orange chicken from one of the most popular restaurants in SoCal - crispy outside, tender chicken on the inside, and fresh sauce coating the crunchy skin. It’s pricey compared to the portions provided by Combo A or B from Golden Dragon of San Bernardino, but even so it’s worth the price for what is actually the best Chinese food I’ve found in the Midwest so far. The dim sum was great as well and made fresh. While the experience doesn’t replace a traditional dim sum experience with carts of treats rolling by, the flavor and freshness outweighs this.

We’ve always wondered if there was a good dim sum restaurant in KC- so glad we finally heard about ABC cafe. Ignore the unassuming strip mall exterior- this is real dim sum that is delicious and authentic. Our new go-to place. Everything is amazing. Highly recommended!
Some of the best Asian food I’ve had. We got 5 kinds of Dim Sum, 3 entree’s, and egg drop soup. The BBQ boa was incredible!! Every plate we got was amazing too. I was truly amazed after eating here. Staff is super friendly, and the plates are plenty big. Definitely recommend going here.
This place is my new favorite. Everything I have tried has been incredible. Took my wife she loved it.
If you like finding hidden little gems, ABC Cafe is one of them. So far the best Cartless Dim Sum I have found near Kansas City. You may have to wait in line due to the small facility but well worth it. As far as I'm concerned it's the best way to try little unknown bites of Asian food. Explore and find new favorites.
