I'm a female professional welder and I came in to Oxarc for an acetylene and oxygen cylinder to do some electricity-free welding at home. They gave me an old style acetylene tank that required an adapter for the regulator, which they didn't have, and no tool for the valve stem to turn it on and off. Not a big deal, really. It took me two weeks to track down the adaptor and when I got it I was beyond excited to finally be able to get some work done. I hooked everything up as normal, turned on the acetylene and instantly smelled leaking gas. I sprayed some soapy water and the leak is coming from the valve stem, meaning they sold me a bad cylinder. THIS IS DANGEROUS. I've been a dedicated Oxarc customer for ten years and to be dealing with this after buying my very first cylinders has me debating if I'm ever going to shop there again. They're impossible to talk to as they're closed on weekends and I work at the exact time they're open to when when close. This has set me back for a third week and I am done with this company. If they aren't capable of testing cylinders before they sell them or rent them out then my business will be better handled at Norco from now on.
