Jim, Matt and Brett completed a major project at our house today. They are tremendously experienced and knowledgeable, thoroughly professional and highly communicative. In addition, Emily in Customer Service is terrific. Overall, we are extremely pleased. We highly recommend them to anyone considering a chimney repair project.

I work for a heating and air conditioning company in the area. Referred Connecticut chimney and vent to a customer in Stamford. Was very forthright with the customer about the condition of his chimney and let him know he only needed a certificate in order to get his permit through the city of Stamford. Pricing was very reasonable and it was handled extremely professionally. Would highly recommend!
I had Connecticut Chimney and Vent come out for a service call after my chimney had stopped venting properly. Jim arrived a few minutes early, was polite and professional, and went to work immediately. He found that the previous chimney sweep I had used had done a horrible job. He removed the blockage and cleared a significant amount of build up. A true honest professional, I will definitely call them again.
PLEASE DO NOT USE CT Chimney & Vent. They will claim you need work you don't, charge you just to come out and tell you that. And then to top it off, the receptionist clearly told me the 150 they charge to come out would be applied to any work they do, but when I called a week later to schedule the work, they said it had to be over 1000 to apply the 150. Scam. TOTAL CHIMNEY CARE in Milford is awesome. Competent, honest and they do NOT charge you to come out and take a look. AND they did my job for a fraction of the price CT Chimney & Vent had quoted me, more quickly and without all the \fuss\ CT Chimney had claimed it would take to fix my problem (trying to scare me). I believe they are one of those \bad\ chimney companies that tells you you need work when you don't and overcharges you. I am writing this review to hopefully save someone else from wasting the 150 and probably more. Just use Total Chimney in Milford and get it done more quickly, more professionally and for less money. No brainer. And no, I do not work for Total Chimney. Just want to warn people based on my experience.
Met owner when he worked for Santa energy. They did extensive chimney work on both chimneys. Continued to use them til we sold house this year... in total have trusted them with our chimneys for 15 years. Jim knows chimneys like no one else. He is thorough honest and knows ct code. He is more expensive than others but when the work is finished you know it is done correctly. I would highly recommend this company.
