I've fished with the Sea Jay twice now and love the crew! Chauncey is a great captain. Both times he put us on the fish. He knows how to read the ocean and isn't scared to move around. He will move from bottom fishing to top fishing and back as the conditions change. One of my favorite parts is that he is willing to teach you. I grew up fishing in lakes and streams and not on the ocean. He really helped me learn and freelining for bigger fish. He will show you, teach you, and is there to answer questions. He is hands on and a huge help! The boat is a great boat too! We showed up at 3am and were on the boat by 4am. There are bunks below that you can sleep in while you motor out to the fishing grounds. Can't share enough how great these guys are!

I have been fishing almost solely out of Channel Islands Sportfishing for the last 5 - 6 years! The fishing is excellent, and the boats and crews are the best! Never feel rushed and have never been skunked... always come back with my limit of good eating fish!
I love this place!!! I always do a 2 hour drive to come fishing and its totally worth it!!! The mirage boat is the best!!!
I've gone with the fine people who operate The Gentlemen for a few years now (just a trip or two) and I've never been disappointed. In fact every time I go I catch close to my limit. If it's your first time deep sea fishing, I'd recommend going with these guys as they'll teach you what you need to know so you to can catch some good fish!
The bait shop was the only place open guys were very helpful on gettin us on some fish
