He’s very familiar with many of the local teachers and textbooks, too. I graduated with a B.S. from UC Berkeley, and I know Mr. Kim’s teaching contributed to my success. Mr. Kim has helped both of my children who have very different learning styles as well as an adult in my family. I had the opportunity to work with Mr. Kim for around 3 years of my high school career and I can confidently say that his help is what allowed me to excel in my math courses. With his aid, I was able to successfully make it to the hardest math available at my high school—AP Calculus BC and receive good marks on my transcript for it. He is also excellent with helping on exams like the SAT and the ACT. He creates an environment that is both professional and welcoming and strives to make his students feel comfortable in their learning environment. He is also easy to reach if any problems arise and will go out of his way to help his students. I can confidently say that I would not have graduated with the same level of strength in math that I did had I not found him. All three of my children worked with Mr. John Kim, throughout high school. Sometimes they needed extra help with higher level math and sometimes it was ACT or SAT prep. He is caring, kind, funny and inspired my kids to keep working and improving their skills. He believed in their abilities, which allowed them to believe in themselves.
