As an individual who had little to no medical assisting experience, ( by trade I have been a practicing Dental Assistant for 20 years), I at first was very trepidative taking this class. However, Ms. Simmons, the AMAZING instructor of this class, put my mind at ease immediately. Her well-informed, professional, and patient instruction made quite an impression on me. In fact, when she found out my office of employment mainly used the butterfly method, she had me stay after regular class hours just to personally instruct me on the method until I got it perfect. This instructor cares about her students, and does everything in her power to make sure they understand & learn the methodology of Phlebotomy. I’d take the class again if I ever decide to go further into the field. Highly recommended.

I wouldn't recommend anyone to go here!!!!! I took the class back in 2014. The instructor was nice, knowledgeable and sweet but I don't think they do a good job teaching the phlebotomy course. I spent 900 and couldn't pass the written part. Almost every class was coming back to retake the test... Majority of everyone was able to pass the hands on part but failed the written part and every time you fail, you have to pay and the amount goes up each time. There were people who passed both parts on the first try. I know several people from my class that was smart intelligent woman but for some reason none of us could get the written part. When you have a high amount of retakes each class that tells you something. The class is not being taught properly for people to understand. Save your money it's other better programs out here.
I completed class and pass in 2008 since then never got hired for phlebotomist because name never added to the board site as well as I was told by the company 2 years ago that I had 1year to get employment then workshop certification would be no good so it's a waste of money and basically only usable for employment through people they connected to so basically oxon hill area
I started this class in March the instructor was very good at teaching the class. I developed sciatica nerve pain that was so painful that I was unable to continue with the course. I couldn't even work because I could barely stand up. So I contacted the customer service rep who insisted that I send an email to the \ finance department\ I sent seven emails and to this day no one has responded. I want some of my money back. Forget about calling the main number they never pick up. I also think that the 4 to 6 week course is not enough time to complete the class and take the written exam. There is a lot of information that needs to me absorbed in order to be proficient as a phlembotist. Nevertheless, if not because of my medical condition I would of completed the course and passed with no problem. I just wouldn't recommend this worship to anyone.
