Managed to take a ride this past weekend while in Panama City Beach. The process for signing up to ride was extremely simple and quick. We were given door gunner seats on the pilots side. The experience was simply amazing. I would love to go again sometime.

I have enjoyed myself today. Great people all around. I'm thinking about becoming an lifetime member. I have had a great time. One of the best trips I have taken.

They provide a wonderful experience, and maintain an astounding legacy of Army Aviation.

Had a blast riding (twice) in a legacy, UH-1H Huey, but of course I didn't experience this in combat action zone. It really makes you appreciate the dedication and sacrifice that many Vietnam soldiers undertook. There are no windows, a lap seat belt, very little protection but awesome speed and maneuverability. Look up Friends of Army Aviation to see when and where you can ride this helicopter...I highly recommended it!!! Going to ride again this Saturday, Panama City

This is a phenomenal organization dedicated to telling the story of the history of Army Aviation through the flight of it's legacy aircraft. It is an all volunteer group of hard working heroes(men and women) who want to support America's veterans and pass on to the public the role that Army Aviation has played in our nation's history. Truly a great place to spend some time and volunteer! Lighthorse/Black Knights!

My daughters and I had the first flight out on 17 October 2020. The experience was great. These guys are not only experienced pilots, they and the volunteers have the organization of flights between groups down to a science. I highly recommend this for anyone, but especially parents wanting to have their children experience something new, exciting, and loads of fun.
