Memories... Memories... Memories... I remember as tough it was yesterday, some 40-45 years ago. As a young kid going to Aldo's Pizza on 101st Avenue in Ozone Park. My parents bought me my very first slice of pizza ever and will always remember the taste and smell that would draw me back there weekly. It was the first pizza I ever tasted and it was the one I remembered the most. Over the years I've tasted 1000's of other pizza's across the country but none compared to the one I remember most. Aldo's Pizza was special in its own way and nothing has come close to his pizza. I haven't been to the old neighborhood in years and understand they have a different location and perhaps different owners (I think). For what ever changes are made I hope that they keep true to the pizza and the recipe that made Aldo's famous. But more than the Pizza, it more about \the man\ that made it famous. In my new film \Ronnie One-Arm\ Also's Pizza will be the focus point of my new film which is currently under development.

It pains me to give this place a 2 star rating, but it’s in hopes that maybe they will make a change. I grew up on Aldos. I’ve been in the neighborhood for 30 years. We would always order pizza on Friday’s. The pizza was delicious, the chicken rolls were just absolutely delicious. Unfortunately the owner sold the place and it pains me how the quality of food has declined. I decided to still order here and support my favorite pizzeria, but time and time again I’m disappointed with my food. The chicken rolls almost look smaller, and the sauce tastes different every time I order. Sometimes the chicken rolls come out over cooked. The pizza tastes an ordinary slice, with nothing special about it. And that’s the problem. Aldos used to be the best around. It’s almost like they stopped using the original ingredients and cut costs by ordering cheap quality ingredients. I’m highly disappointed and unfortunately my pizza Friday’s are going somewhere else. I hope they go back to the original roots. I know the feedback sounds harsh but it’s in hopes maybe they will do what it takes to be the best again. I truly don’t believe this pizzeria deserves a 4.5 star review. Not anymore at least since they changed owners.
First time at Aldo's in a very long time. Everything was delicious...chicken parm sandwich...wings...mozzarella sticks...even the fries were great. We did take out and we'll do it again soon!!
