I am a mother of two teenagers who were told by my sister in law about Pads Homeless Shelter in August of 2018 I went to the shelter were I was greeted by a very nice young man name Jovan he welcome me in and register me he told me to get comfortable he said that I and my daughter can take a shower and showed us were we could laid down and rest because we made a trip from Chicago there once I rested I looked at my surroundings then I began reading the information that was on the billboard there in the dining room when I came to realize that if I got a job at night that on Monday thru Friday I was allowed to sleep in because Pads is a shelter were everyone has to leave every morning at 9am everyone has to leave the shelter and can return at 5pm So after getting me a job and register my daughter in school and then got my daughter a job I began working toward getting my self out of homelessnessPads offer group classes to help anyone who are really and truly serious about getting on your feet and getting your own place I have notice that rather U have income or not Pads helps place U in a place U can call home I was there from August until December 21, 2018 I received my 3 bedroom townhouse for me and my two teenagers as of today I have now been in my new home coming up a year and I can only give my thanks to the staff of pads for believing in me and always giving me words of encouragement I give Pads Shelter in Ottawa 5stars because I feel that don't even say enough about that shelter because I was a person who just thought coming from Chicago that all shelter were not a place I wanted to be in until I came to Pads I say to anyone out there who needs a clean and comfortable place to get off the streets and out of the cold please find a way to get to Ottawa U will for ever be thankful that U did I am a living witness I will forever be grateful for Pads Shelter in Ottawa and staff Love U All Happy Holidays

A great service for the community. This facility is full and could use a bigger space for all the people that they help. The staff defiantly care for the residents. This facility closes in late April early may till September.

J went there with my familly to warm up .they let us right in very nice kid orientated resoursefull .very clean every one doues their chores or the staff helps . God must make these places to bless us. Very warm shelter we had a fire and they helped no matter
