Had a great experience renting tubes to float down main street area. Check the water levels or ask the staff before you do it. If the water level is low it is easier to get hung up on rocks. It seems the water flow slows in the afternoon so you may want to float in the morning. Ask the staff for the best advice based on current conditions.
We had an amazing rafting adventure with Pagosa Outside! A special thank you to Maddie, Zach, Iris and the rest of the Pagosa Outside crew for setting up an AWESOME trip for us! We took our Extended School Year (ESY) Special Education students on a rafting trip. For some of our students, this was a once in a lifetime opportunity! Safety was our #1 priority and Maddie was extremely attentive to our needs. While we tried to schedule our trip for the end of June, Maddie and her team used their best judgment to reschedule us and ensure the safest water conditions for our special group of rafters. Iris was the captain of the elementary group raft and allowed us to really enjoy the water We LOVE you Ms. Frye!!! Captain Zach \Sparrow\ was in charge of the middle/high school raft and really made them work. We had such an amazing time with our students and cannot say THANK YOU enough to this amazing team for all their hard work! Thank you for all your patience and coordination Pagosa Outside! We will always remember this amazing experience and hope to do this again in the future!
After going in last minute, they added an extra River Bend trip for our large group. Everyone from the people who scheduled us to the drivers and guides were very attentive and made us feel so welcomed and safe. The “Ickys” were awesome and funny guides. My only regret was not paying for a longer trip. Traveler Suggestion: Leave your phones safely behind and buy the pictures, even if you need to split the cost with another group. They are taken along the side of the river and capture great moments that would otherwise be difficult to catch from the raft.
They had us register on line and pay. That was fine. But after we paid for 8 people they told us the water was very low and we couldn’t go too far. We could have floated and played in the water for free. This should hav been advised when we first walked in. Plus the only thing we got for our money was a tube each. Make sure you check the area before you rent.
