Very welcoming vibe, and super helpful staff. John was knowledgeable, had great adaptations and accommodations, and good verbal cues. I was at first disappointed that the instructor for the Saturday morning class changed, but now would go back specifically for John's classes. His background in kinesiology definitely informed his practise and the class. Highly recommended.
I completed my 300 yoga teacher training at Maui Yoga Shala this summer, and it more than exceeded my expectations!! The Shala honors and respects the roots of yoga, while fully embracing modern day knowledge and interpretations of the practice. The teachers are OUTSTANDING, and this is what stood out to me most. This Shala changed my life and refined my practice not only physically through asana, but also mentally and spiritually. Hands down, this is the best yoga studio I have been a part of this far, and i will be forever grateful :)!

I loved this space! My week pass was a perfect deal for my north shore stay. The teachers were great. There are a couple studios, an outdoor practice space, and a cafe. They had clean mat rentals and everything any beginner like me would ever need. Everyone made me feel very welcomed.
Nadia is the best yoga teacher! She teaches from her heart and knows so much. Her classes are so much fun. I have learned so much from Nadia....she walks her talk. Her trainings are amazing. I watch her students when I am doing a yoga class at her studio, and they are so happy and in bliss with her work.
Such an incredible experience! Life-changing in the most beautiful way! I can't say enough positive things about this YTT. From the people to the location to the energy, it was simply incredible from start to finish. I learned so much about asana, pranayama, philosophy, and anatomy, and truly feel like I got the most comprehensive and immersive Yoga education possible. I really appreciated the opportunity to practice teaching real classes toward the end of the training, and I felt 100% prepared to teach on my own once I returned home. The Maui Yoga Shala is a beautiful, peaceful, positive environment with an incredibly knowledgable, welcoming staff. I made life-long friendships with the other trainees and we truly became a family throughout the duration of training. Nadia and Shakta are radiant guiding lights that have truly impacted my life and I am eternally grateful for the energy, knowledge, aloha spirit, and love that they shared with me throughout the YTT program. I would highly recommend completing a training program at the Maui Yoga Shala and I can't wait to go back and visit my Yoga family soon! Mahalo... Namaste... Aloooha! Xoxo
Great yoga, great instructors, delicious food! Everything is wonderful. Uiam is a very kind, patient and encouraging surf professional too. He took us to an awesome beach to learn. We were first timers and all of us were up and surfing in no time.
