Huge preserve with ample picnic shelters, many trail options. Excellent biking and varied trails. There are large colorful prairies. Unfortunately, teasel has been allowed to take over in some areas. Too many large mowed areas for a forest preserve. Nice model airplane flying area.

Beautiful nature preserve with well-maintained paths and picnic structures. Paved and dirt trails. Well known for its model-aircraft flying area. Parking lots are narrow, a potential safety concern, and can fill up early.

This place is beautiful year round. They have 2 sledding hills, mountain biking trails, perfect walking paths for wheelchairs and strollers, and pavilions to sit under and picnic. They also have a camp ground called Camp Reinberg which is beautiful as well! Fun for the whole family!

Beautiful scenery and plenty of bike and walking trails (paved and dirt). Loved it, love the challenging ride. Highly recommend!

I had wanted to check this forest preserve out for a while. It has A LOT to offer. Sledding hills caught the younger eyes in my party as well as the small waterfall (human-made) under a bridge. Beautiful water bodies and elevatiom changes were a surprise. I spotted a deer crossing in front of the car. I know they are here and spotted some before, but it helps the total natural (nay, neatural) experience. That is just the western portion. The eastern portion looks to boast many gielda, picnic/party pavilions, walking/biking paths and even a radio control aircraft area. Definitely worth checking out.
