We had very specific needs for our new dog and the staff at Manatee County Animal Services went above and beyond to find us just the right fit. They worked with us for a month and managed to find a dog that fit within the physical limitations (size) we had set, would be good with my elderly Aunt and has just has the sweetest disposition. We have had him almost a month and so far the worst habit/behavior we have seen is the chewing of my hair brushes when I leave them where he can get to them. Thank you very much for finding us this sweet boy.

Joanna was awesome and found us the perfect dog to foster. 99.9% sure we will adopt this loving boy! The dogs are well-cared for and happy.and have great play areas with toys! Wonderful place!!
Excellent experience. My family just fostered our new canine family member from here. Volunteers were extremely friendly, facilities were clean and full of amenities. The volunteer who helped us went above and beyond answering questions about our dog, it was obvious she cared very much for the animal's well being. Ample supplies were offered to us including food, a crate, a leash, a collar, and our dog's medicine. Recently injured she needs to fully heal before we can adopt. This is a place where people who care for homeless animals have gathered to be their family until they leave for their new homes. Further, due to hard economic times many fees have been waived to help ensure adoption. Please give them a shot if your looking for your next animal family member.
What a great event! The turn out was awesome what looked like many fur babies went home to loving families. This event was very organized and had many different groups Participating. There was a section for dogs to be adopted. Then there was a section for cats to be adopted. Then there was a section of that you could buy things for your for babies. There was also many different rescue groups there. Look forward to attending again next year.
