Our experience with Stem to Stern Sailing LLC was perfect! We chartered Captain Carl's schooner, the Elsa, for a sunset cruise with all the trimmings. Captain Dale took the wheel for this charter and it was smooth sailing all of the way. Captain Carl, the owner of the Elsa, is my brother, so I wanted to experience a Stem to Stern charter and have him and his wife, Charlene join us as family instead of crew. Most of my immediate family members were able to join our celebration of my retirement from 40 years of teaching. We sailed to Shell Island where we were allowed to swim, snorkel and take a short walk over a dune to see the Gulf side of the island. We held a live starfish in our hands, saw Hermit crabs, one that was in the process of moving from one home to another, and enjoyed watching Caliban, my daughter's Siberian Husky, swim and play in the waves in the beach. On the sail back to the marina, we had dinner on deck. Captain Laurie, who happens to be a fabulous caterer as well, prepared delicious trays of cheeses, crackers, fruits, shrimp, scallops, dips, sauces with a selection of our favorite beverages. Captain Carl played folk songs and sea shanties on his guitar as we ate, sang, and watched the gorgeous red sails as the sun set. Later, back in the marina, we lingered aboard Elsa as the moon rose over the water not wanting the experience to end.

Capt. Dale and Lorie were the best. Can't wait to go back and take the 103 course. Thanks again for sharing all of your knowledge. Tom

Met Captain Dale and Lorie three years ago and have used them for all the maintenance on my boat and installations, one of which was removing my original engine and installing a later model. I couldn't be happier. Highly recommend.
