I have worked with this company for the last three years and have had the same family for the past three years. Since I’ve been with this company their communication has absolutely been horrible. Long story short today I received a phone call because I wasn’t able to complete one “mandatory” training and when I informed my so called manager the dates didn’t work for me (as I have another job which they were well aware of) and asked if there was another way I could do the training I got a lot of back fire from both her and her manager about how they weren’t willing to make any exceptions....anyways today I get a call saying that they were parting ways because “they have given me several chances for improvements and I haven’t made any improvements with trainings” because of one training. I could go into more depth about how my very own manager failed to acknowledge emails I had sent her about some trainings, but no need to make anyone look bad. This company has been full of bs, very unprofessional staff and very unorganized. The only reason I didn’t part ways prior was because of the family I work with. They had been through a lot with this company as well. When I first started they had copied and paste information from another child’s file to the child’s file. Granted there have been some improvements finally made with the nurse who had started around the same time as I, but when she left things were still hectic so it was easier to point the finger at her instead of taking fault for their own actions. Either way the journey with this company has been very annoying, but my family is the only reason why I’ve stayed as long as I did. I got to the point where I stopped claiming hours and just kept doing the work regardless. The trainings were the only thing I was getting paid for, yet “I wasn’t making improvements on the trainings or whatever the lie was.”

I work here currently, from my office I can hear staff getting the work done, laughing, being authentic. You come here, do your job well, respect others, have integrity and you're going to have a great experience...what you bring to the table is often what you experience, right? I see our public face, I also see the private face of this organization, I wouldn't be here if I didn't respect what I see. Bring your best game, talk to us, I think you'll like what you see.
I started with PPCH in May of 2016 as a Host Home Provider. I love this company and feel so supported as a Host Home Provider and know if I ever have any issues I will have help in figuring it all out. I am a retired nurse and thought I would be a home traveling and doing the things retired people do but this company has brought me out of retirement and I am now working for them as a contract nurse and I absolutely love it.
PPCH is one of my favorite DD establishments. They do a lot of work in the community that doesn’t get enough attention in my eyes. I seen them on the Chew a few years ago and I purchased some jam that one of the individuals made and it was amazing! ;)
When I first began my caregiving with this facility, I believed it to be Ethically and morally sound. There was a level of understanding with the needs of the clients and providers, creating unity at the base of operations, It was honest, comfortable, professional And I felt Legitimate concern for my well being as well as my clients. Whenever consulting a program director, They were conducive to my needs and schedule as a professional health care facility should. However, as time progressed as a provider, I began to experience being handled and not helped, and a lack of balance between all parties involved. There was a major loss of standards and ethics, Along with an interruption of correspondence and communication between Program directors and providers. The postive interactions within the office have steadily decreased and it feels as if the focus is not the Client's needs. It has become harder to obtain proper communication from the Program Directors, And the general environment seems insincere. Also, I've witnessed the minute awareness concerning cultural differences. Change is only good if executed efficiently, Especially when it involves the general well being of patients. (S)
Best place! Working together to help support and employ people with developmental disabilities. Changing lives for the better!!
I have been employed at Parker Personal Care Homes for almost 3 years now. It has been a great ride so far. This organization is committed to supporting their staff and the individuals they serve.
My experience with Parker was great. The attention to details with my individual spoke volumes and I was truly impressed with how the whole team came and supported my guy at an event. Great job PPCH
