Let’s get the only “negative” out of the way. As of this writing, I do not believe this Doctor takes insurance (or at least my insurance). So if you’re prepared to pay out of pocket and mail your own claims, this doctor and her staff are about as good as the medical experience can get. Dr Spambalg is attentive, caring, smart and focused. I 100% trust my health in her care.

She is fine if all that matters is your numbers. When I became euthyroid she no longer cared about my health. \Your numbers are fine so you should be feeling fine\ was her constant refrain. Turns out I had multiple sclerosis but she couldn't have cared less. For my last appointment with her I was already too sick to drive to Pasadena (where I had formerly worked) from L.A. She refused to give me my lab test numbers without an actual in-person visit, presumably because she would have gotten no money that way. So I never got the numbers of the last lab tests I paid for. She gets two stars instead of one because she was marginally better than the horrible endos I had seen previously. I am SO glad to have so much better healthcare now.

I felt this doctor was all about money. She spent more time at the computer than conversing with me. She scold me for being maybe 3 min late. i am in the field of Nursing with advanced degrees.i have come in contact with hundreds of doctors. By far the worst I have ever encountered. This was a while ago,hope she is more interested in her patients.

My husband and I both see Dr. Spambalg. I have thyroid issues and he has type 1 diabetes. She is absolutely the best doctor we’ve ever had. She’s caring (sometimes in a tough love way, which is a good thing). My husband’s management of his diabetes is the best it’s ever been thanks to Dr. Spambalg. She’s punctual, but you never feel rushed. She makes us feel like she really cares and is invested in our health. Even though she doesn’t take insurance, she’s worth it. She doesn’t take advantage of that, and it allows her to make decisions based on what’s best for her patients rather than what the insurance company thinks is best. We highly recommend!! And her staff is great too!!

Great doctor! She is concerned about the individual, she has great bed side manners and an incredible memory. She stabilized my meds in a short period of time. I appreciate her very much.
