The library is a great resource and has useful services beyond common library services (book check-out). Most people who've complained about the passport services were just unprepared themselves. The passport services here are very useful and thorough.

Such a passive aggressive place. Made copies of documents, but was told they could not be used as not on same page. Then they had to make copies. Signed in blue, not black ink. Was made to redo entire application which was done online. Signature was not EXACTLY like my ID, was almost made to redo the application. Such petty BS. No where on the application did it state these things. On top of it, they staples my daughter’s original passport.

I have visited several passport office and this one is just great. Everybody is very friendly and courteous and the best thing is that they make copies of your paperwork and take passport photos for you as well. There is no waiting in line, you get a buzzer and are free to roam the library or have a snack at the coffee shop. Very pleasant experience

It’s a good library to bring your children, calm cool environment but, Grand Army Plaza shouldn’t be allowed to do passports. I went on a Saturday (which I wouldn’t recommend due to the long line), online it says they accept money orders and credit or debit cards, but when I showed up, a worker said only money orders are accepted. This is my second time coming here. At first, I didn’t have the birth certificate they wanted, so I went to 125 worth Street in Manhattan to get it. Now, because I don’t have a driver license, I’ll have to bring someone with me, due to the fact that I have a learners permit, even though I have my social, id & birth certificate. If you want your time and money wasted, come here.

I had a rather pleasant experience at this office. Please bring every piece of identification you have. This includes state id, benefit card, social security card, birth certificate, and insurance card. They may ask. It is better to bring more. Make sure you have a non starter check or money order for 110 do not write on the check or money order wait until you see the agent. Plus a debit card for an additional 35 fee. Hope this helps someone. Safe travels

Had a terrible experience here, some of the staff were very nice, but unfortunately the black old lady (not being racist here, just stating the facts) who served me was extremely rude and nasty, was looking for every reason on earth not to approve my application even though I had all required documents.

If you can, go early on the weekends, and have your personal check with you. They also accept money order. NO CASH OR CREDIT CARD accepted. Excellent customer service.

Just went there (at 11 am). Waiting time was about 2 minutes, and the representative, Peter, was beyond being nice. I don't remember the last time I got such a care from a representative. He was very kind, helpful and easy going. Thank you so much!
