This is a great place to visit if you don't have the time to drive to Niagara Falls! The Passaic River drops down by over 70 feet creating this wonderful spectacle. The geological formation is quite pretty and impressive. Clearly the park around these falls has seen better days. If it could be renovated it would be a great tourist attraction. But given its current state most people would be hesitant to visit. That's a shame. Nature has granted such a gift to this neighborhood, desperately in need of some economic activity. It's up to the government and the citizens to convert this place into the asset that it should be.

Stark steep falls drop dramatically into the Passaic River in an unusual suburban setting. Historically promoted by Alexander Hamilton as an industrial hub of the New York area. Great place for a Sunday stroll with kids or pets, to take pictures and picnic. It's just a hop, skip and a jump by car up to Lambert Castle where western views often afford grazing deer and eastern views offer the stunning NYC skyline! Great way to spend an afternoon right near the city. The town of Paterson below has plenty of ethnic food eateries where you can find or order out to make a day of it.

Amazing experience, lives up to the hype. Can't beat this kind of free, outdoor fun during the pandemic. The scenery and site are breathtaking.

Quite unknown to the traveller, these Falls have an eye-candy to them. Some of the views are so picturesque that they are impossible to capture by camera alone, let alone videocamera. Just next to a museum of the same name, they will offer quite a lot of details on the region.
