My husband & I stopped in for lunch on our way home from our honeymoon. The service was quick, the food was amazing, and portions were huge! We definitely could have shared. We will make sure to stop in again next time we are back this way. We had the pancakes and the chicken fried steak & both we’re phenomenal.

Now this is what I expect in a small Ozark town, a small local diner serving some home style cooking in a friendly family atmosphere. Cannonball gets more things right than wrong and I can see us making the trip over on a semi-regular basis. Most of the items were indeed made in-house, which should be the norm for any restaurant especially those claiming country style or home cooking, unfortunately it’s getting harder to find. The chicken fried steak and roast beef definitely take you back to Sunday supper at grandmas house, however my grandma was an incredible cook so tough to compare. A better comparison would be to say that this is what Cracker Barrel try’s to copy. If you live in Pea Ridge I can’t imagine why you’d go to the chain fast food places with them here. If you live close by it’s worth the short drive to have a little country supper get away.

Cannonball Cafe has what I like to call mighty fine vittles! All of the food is so delicious. It's hard to know what to order, it's all so tasty!

I don't give 5 stars very freely, but this was one of the best meals I've ever had and the wait staff was super friendly. The catfish, pickles, chicken steak, etc., were breaded wonderfully and still moist. Even my picky family cleared all their plates. We thought we'd have to get a to go box but there was no need. Hard to find on GPS but totally worth it. I wish I could have tried the pie

I would suggest a little improvement on the up keep. But all in all a good family ran restaurant.
