Sunrise Farm is the sort of place you go to when you want a solid education. You will learn from the ground up how to handle , lead, load on trailer, groom, lounge and ride a horse. But it takes a lot of time , it is not going to happen overnight. Riding is very contrary to ones natural survival instincts and you must learn to let go when your mind says to grab and hold on. I have been with Mark for about nineteen years now and finally have my own horse. He is on training board and I could not be happier with how well Mark is doing with him. If I could I would pay him double for his expertise and care of my horse Marvel. And yes I have been around both New Hampshire and Long Island N.Y. stables all of my life and no one comes close to Mark's quality of teaching. Have you asked your current instructor if they are licensed to teach? Mark is both licensed and insured.

Used to go here. They make you bend the horses neck in a super unnatural way when riding. When taking lessons, you work from the ground up which is good. But, you STAY on ground work for way too long without getting on ever. Very slow movement for paying so much each time for a lesson. Place is clean though, horses look well cared for. Could be very different now!

After taking lessons here for nearly ten years, I can wholeheartedly recommend Mark Matyszyk and his one-on-one training.
