The store is no longer open. It would be helpful to list it as closed online rather than having patrons driving in circles looking for the store.

I cannot say enough good things about this shop. We brought 7 people in here. They outfitted each of us with a high-end bike to rent, opened up some brand new padlocks for us to use, provided helmets, and provided maps and routes for us to bike around Fort Collins for a few hours. We had a blast. The employees were patient, friendly, helpful. They even provided a little tutorial for some of the lesser-experienced riders. A great time was had by all.

Updated Review: I went to Peloton Cycles a second time to give it another chance, and that experience was much better that the first time. The shop tech who I interacted with was still very aloof, but was able to resolve my issue quickly (granted this repair was less complicated than my previous bike repair). As I mentioned in my first review, this shop will likely meet the needs of most cyclists, but the service seems to depend on who you end up interacting with. Original Review: This shop will undoubtedly meet the needs of most customers, however I went for my first time and ended up not being very satisfied. The front desk staff greeted me and the guys in the mechanics area were friendly but ultimately unable to solve the problem I came in with. Without going into too much detail, I came in with two small problems on my bike and had my bike returned to me with only one of the problems fixed and a new problem caused. I went back and the tech fixed the problem they caused but still couldn't fix my remaining initial problem (just preventing a chain from dropping off the front chain ring). All in all I was charged 11 for the tech to remove 2 chain links, which isn't terribly overpriced, but is more expensive than most other shops in the area. The reason I chose to rate the shop at 2 stars instead of the 3/4 it would have gotten is because the tech said that the reason he couldn't fix my chain drop issue was because he said I had "a hodgepodge bike" that was "pretty old" and "pretty cheap." Fact is, my bike is a stock 2006 titanium frame with full Dura-Ace. Sorry that you can't fix such a "low-end" bike. I love supporting a LBS, but in a dying industry, you can't afford such snide attitudes towards your customers. I shudder to think what they would have said and charged if I didn't know about bikes and came in with a Huffy.

I live near Blue Sky Natural Area at the foot of Horsetooth Reservoir. The area is a hot spot for all kinds of cycling to say the least. I have met the owner of Peloton Cycles, out there, and seen that he isn't just in the business of selling cycles; he is one of the many passionate bikers too! It is nice to see the owner of popular cycling stores enjoying the lifestyle he is in business for! Peloton makes the very best of cycles and accessories available. I have a pair of armored tires from four years ago that are still going strong after very heavy use and I have always been pleased with my service! Peloton is the way to go with a huge selection! This is the best shop in Fort Collins hands down! The people who work here in both the sale and service department take such great care of me and my bike. They are very down to earth and will answer any question to help you pick the best bike for you!

Decent prices on mountain bike rentals and friendly staff, but they send their bikes out with dented rims. I pinch flatted immediately on my first decent. I made it a few more miles before i pinched again a second time. Be sure to check your rims before you take the bike. If it is dented at all get a different one.

If you want great service from any bike shop then I recommend that you clean your bike before you bring it in for service; and when you arrive, that you treat the mechanics with respect. If you can do that, then they'll take care of you including quality service at most shops. The shop at Peloton Cycles North is managed by an exceptional mechanic with many years of experience. Don't be fooled by any first impressions, if you want your bike fixed Mat can get the job done, just don't be a dick. Howard and the other guys/gals in the shop and retail area are exceptional too. I purchased my Jet 9 RDO, Air 9 RDO, and Giant TCR all at this shop and they've been professionally maintained there ever since.
