Very challenging course with split fairways and many tiered greens. The greens ran pure and very quick. Really enjoyed the challenge and speed on the greens today. 1.5 hour drive and can't wait to go back, hopefully next spring.

Pendleton is one of those \pure golf\ experiences, where it is just you and the course with minimal distractions. It captures the links style feel nicely with pot bunkers and large, complex greens structures. I would not say the course is overly difficult but it requires you to think your way around it and place your shots wisely. The staff has always been very friendly, they have good rates especially in the afternoon, and the course is well maintained throughout the year.

Safe during COVID restrictions, course maintained well even through a rainy winter day. Would love to return some day.

Fairways and greens in great shape. A few tee boxes were a little bare. Course laid out well and fairways were a little forgiving which was nice on some of my shots. Highly recommend playing there

British links in Ladysmith? On a blustery overcast Tuesday, we travelled 30 minutes north of Richmond. As we drove the mile-long driveway, it became clear that Pendleton was serious about golf. On only one hole were houses visible; and the other 17 holes could've been in Troon. The opening par 5 is a grip and rip confidence builder. From there the front nine wind left and right and up and down to the #1 Handicap Ninth. Chicken salad, hot dogs and a Heineken can be called in ahead of your ninth tee. The back nine yields a few more birdie chances than the front: Wider fairways, slightly flatter greens. I played from the 6600yd blues and DC played from the 6100yd whites today. We had to tee off with drivers, 3-woods, hybrids and irons throughout the day. Most approaches on par 4's were with 6, 7 & 8 irons... Brilliant Design! The course conditions were very good for early March. Putts rolled very true with no bouncing. Fairways played nicely and roughs never swallowed our errant shots. The smallish bunkers were avoided all day and no water came into play. Overall, we came away with a very positive first impression... And we're adding Pendleton to our 75-mile course rotation!
