We took a ride on the Nickel Plate 765 today! This was a nostalgic blast from the past! The steam engine whistle was so fun to hear. The trip included a great dinner and free drinks. This is right up there with my ride on the Goodyear blimp!!! Very fun day!!! I would highly recommend a ride!

Peninsula to Akron really didnt seem that scenic. I signed up for the brunch trip. Food was catered by a local restaurant and was quite good. I will have to see if Independence to Peninsula is a better scenic trip. I did enjoy the social aspect of the trip.
If youre looking for a relaxing day, this is the place... train takes you on a nice ride, for groups, you can have lunches scheduled and brought to you on the train... awesome scenery in the fall with all the color of the leaves

The staff were awesome! The train ride was phenomenal! The stuff you get to see that is in our backyards and never knew it! They had one car specifically for differently abled children and that made me overjoyed to know that someone was not excluding these kids from such an adventure! The ride we took was right about 4hrs, and worth every penny paid for the ride! The snack bar was surprisingly reasonably priced! A must for any family with kids and or train enthusiasts!
