Penzeys is amazing in so many ways. Just a warm-hearted company with great values!! And the spices and spice blends are the best I have ever found. One more reason I am a big fan?? Over the holidays, I had a delay a shipment and was given a 50 gift certificate. Who does that?? Penzeys!

I'd ordered online before, and was thrilled to find a shop near me. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful and friendly. Everything smelled amazing, and I can't wait to try my new spices at home!
While I typically don’t let the views of company leadership taint the views of the products or services of the company, this company cannot separate business from politics. I signed up for their e-mail list years ago as there were good recipes, coupons, etc related to the products offered. Over the past 6 months, their e-mail list has served as a way to push their political agenda with very little about their products. One would think that after the election was over this might end, but no, they decided to send out an e-mail victory lap along with a list of states and leaders they support and whom they believe are doing a good job and a list of states that could use some help. As a company, while their products are good, they can easily be substituted from another company that sticks to their own business in their communication.
I hardly ever post online reviews of a company but felt that Penzeys deserved an honest review of their policies. Unfortunately, the company has adopted a hostile political culture towards its customers, using a "my way or the highway" approach. Instead of embracing all viewpoints, the owner and management have felt compelled to dismiss and criticize any views that they do not share themselves. This narrow-mindedness will have me looking elsewhere for spices in the future.
Unique spices you won't find at a grocery store. Wish they sold loose leaf tea though.
The freshest and best herbs and spices, spice blends...cinnamon!!! And always a great deal! I ordered online and was able to pick up curb side at the store. Easy and hassle free. We love their Greek seasoning, curry, cinnamons and paprika. Our spice cabinet is filled with Penzeys!!
It saddens me that we are at a place as a country where I have had to remove myself from patronizing multiple companies (including this one) because the owner or CEO feels that their company newsletter is a political platform. I may or may not agree with the sentiments expressed by these individuals, but believe that expressing your personal views in this format serves to divide us further rather than bring us together. It serves only to incite anger and division and shows a lack of professionalism and tact which makes it impossible for me to give these organizations my hard-earned money. As silly as it sounds to have to remind other adults to “stay in their lane”, I cannot help but feel it necessary to remind them that their organization’s purpose is not to politicize or rally for a party or candidate, but to purvey good and services, regardless of whether their personal beliefs are shared by all of their customers or not.
Fine selection, excellent prices and if you sign up for the newsletter, you get coupons for deals and free stuff. The quality is far above grocery store prices and we only buy spices here now.
