Today we have more than 600 employees across all locations, operating four landfills, five laboratories and a fleet of more than 300 trucks. Royal J. Coulter is the third generation to manage this family business, founded by his grandfather as a one-truck garbage service in 1928. PDC was originally started by John Coulter. This small business, known as John Coulter & Sons is how PDC and Area Disposal were born. Each generation of the Coulter family has made it the priority to pass this business on to the next generation.
