My partner and I were looking to take the Evidence Based Birth Course but there was no educator in western PA. Perks of the pandemic we could take the course remotely with Brooke from eastern PA! Brooke was so accommodating and flexible with our needs relating to the schedule of meetings. And in meetings she is so knowledgeable and provides great resources (books, links, visuals etc.). We feel WAY more prepared by having gone through this course and had 6 weeks to ask questions of, listen to, and bounce ideas off of Brooke. The evidence is out there to support having the kind of Birth that we want, Brooke guided us though the numbers and research, she gave us tools to communicate with our providers, and she supported and encouraged us to keep asking questions at prenatal visits. I HIGHLY recommend the Evidence Based Birth Course and taking it with Brooke through Solace Birth Service if you are in the region!

My wife and I had Brooke as an instructor for our virtual Evidence Based Birth classes. Brooke was a great guide through all of the course material and also included her own experiences as a doula. Because of our detailed classes with her, we were able to make educated decisions on the fly when things did not go as planned during a long and traumatic labor and delivery.
Brooke provided us extraordinary support both during pregnancy and labor. It is hard to describe how invaluable her birth knowledge and emotional skills were in preparing myself and my husband for a successful home birth. I felt that I could share anything with her and would be fully supported, which was immensely helpful during my pregnancy, as this was my first. When she arrived the day of my labor I immediately calmed and was able to relax and just trust that she would guide me through the entire process. It was an incredible experience to have her there in my most vulnerable moments, and I couldn’t recommend her more fully.
I have nothing but positive and empowering feelings about my labor and delivery experience, and Brooke was a huge part of making that happen. I was hesitant about if a doula service was really necessary for us and worth the investment. My husband and I both agreed that we hope to have Brooke at any future labors! Even my midwife commented on how knowledgeable and amazing she was :)
Brooke is simply wonderful. She exudes warmth and kindness throughout the entire time I worked with her. She also gave me the confidence to have a home birth. Her faith in me and the gentle suggestions she made to prepare myself for birth made all the difference. From hiring her to my final post natal follow up (and well beyond), Brooke was a beacon of light. So thankful for her!
