I was hired to work here. On my start date I was informed that I was a close contact to a confirmed Covid case. I was informed to get tested, and I tested negative then I would be allowed to work on Monday. I got my tests back, they came back negative and then I was told by Amber, the hiring manager, that I wasnt going to be a good fit for the company. Her reasons were: 1. I sent her a text at 6:42pm asking if I, as a new sales rep, would have work on Saturday. I knew about store hours, bit I was wondering if we had any weekend work for me to do. 2. I informed Amber about a special day I had planned for over a year. I was proposing to my now fiance. And Amber told me that I should have texted her a different way as I didnt SPECIFICALLY ask for that day off. The text I sent her was merely to inform her of the day off and see what my options were. I rearranged THE ENTIRE PROPOSAL THAT I HAD ALL PLANNED OUT FOR OVER A YEAR, JUAT SO I DIDN'T HAVE TO MISS WORK FOR HER!!!!! SHE JUST KEPT REPEATING\ I HAVE A GUT FEELING\. Last I knew \gut feelings\ arent a valid reason to rip out an opportunity to work for a company I had interest in working with. Especially seeing as how I wasn't rude, assumptive, condescending or unproffessional. I informed Amber of a possible close contact for Covid-19 and I get told I cant work there anymore. This seems like a messed up situation of workplace discrimination.
