He is famous for his absolute honesty and unmatched skills in building rotaries that are not only powerful but recognized for the longevity he builds into his motors. He does not run a bolt-on shop, rather a skilled repair and restoration shop with unmatched experience.

I have had my RX7 since 2005 and have moved it with me around the country. I have brought it to rotary mechanics in: Orlando, Miami, Tampa, Southern California, Northern Virginia, Richmond, VA, and Maryland. By the time I moved to West Palm Beach, I thought about getting rid of the car because I had such bad experiences in the past and wasn't sure if I could find a competent mechanic to help me keep the car running. In 2015 I brought my car to Cam and he has completely restored my car. I can honestly say I haven't had any major mechanical issues since then. Cam uses his experience to make rotaries more reliable which is exactly what I was looking for. All I have had to do since is regular oil changes. Recently my 25 year old window switch failed and my driver's window was stuck in the down position. Cam met me at his shop on a Saturday morning, diagnosed the problem, and gave me a working switch free of charge. If that is the kind of service you want, bring you car here.

Because in my experience, the expertise and knowledge from Cam, as well as the quality of the parts coming from this company are without comparison. I'm not a professional, just a weekend warrior...but if you want quality parts with quality knowledge, then Pettit Racing is the place to maximize the potential of your FD.

I've been going to Pettit Racing for the past 7 years. I myself have had two Rx8's, and my father currently has one himself. We both REFUSE to take our cars anywhere besides to see Cam at Pettit Racing. He is a great guy, who does amazing work. Plus, he always has some cool project cars to look at while at the shop. I would 100% recommend anyone to take their car to Pettit Racing.

The best there is to make the Rx-7 and Rx-8 better than when new! The place is very clean and organized like you never seen in the rotary world. Cam knows all the flaws from factory and know how to solve and improve them! He builds the motors better than MAZDA does and they perform faster, more reliable and more efficient than even when brand new, believe me he knows all the tricks to make them perform and endure like nobody else, he even manufactures special parts for them that nobody have. If Mazda brings back the Rx-7 they will have Cam to be the first one to improve it.
