Located on Bunker Hill Downtown Los Angeles, walking distance from Disney Concert Hall and downtown theater center Pez Cantina is a sustainable Coastal Mexican style restaurant and bar serving the freshest sea to land dishes in an oasis type atmosphere. Inspired by his travels to Loreto, a sleepy fishing town in Baja California Mexico, and his marriage into a Mexican family, Bret captures the complexity and spirit of the food he’s developed a strong love and passion for. Pez Cantina’s menu offers a glimpse of the many distinct regions of Mexico, from Baja to Oaxaca to the Yucatan Peninsula. Items like assorted chili oils, fresh ceviches/cocteles, sizzling meat platters and the crunchiest fish tacos please the senses. It was delicious food! My mom and niece enjoyed their desserts as well. We tried the blueberry muffin and it was delicious! It was so nice to know we didn’t have to worry as much about our food while on vacation, and that we were able to order it and not have to bring a lot of food with us. Such a beautiful experience!

Mesa and Renee have been awesome. found this place while looking for a chase bank. service is awesome, food is delicious modern take on classic Mexican food, and the choices of tequila and mezcal is amazing. my new favorite spot no doubt

It was the worst valentines dinner ever. After we sat down it took the server 30 minutes to attend us, I had to ask someone if we had a server. Not only that but the food took forever knowing that it was a set menu. Our food came out quicker than our sons and he had a taco and fries, it makes no sense. The heater was out of gas and we heard the owner did not want to go get gas for them. Once I looked at the plate my wife and I had it looked small compared to the people next to us. They had a whole lobster while we had lobster pieces. To finish the server brought us our check without bringing our dessert, she completely forgot. Knowing it was Valentine’s Day it wasn’t packed to say they were busy or short staffed. I would not recommend this place.

Got the Valentine's prix fixe meal (pick up). Meal did not match the images on their website at all. The salad was supposed to have dressing, the Surf and Turf showed whole lobster claws, etc. We received a dry salad, and a few bits of lobster in our meal. I don't mind small portions if the quality is good - but this was not impressive quality. Would not recommend. Would not go back.

The food, drinks, ambiance and service were all around GREAT! They have an awesome selection and variety of liquors. Tasty Micheladas and the Pez Paloma was excellent. Ordered the salsa flight with a side of chips and guacamole and everything was well seasoned and had just the right amount of kick and flavor to it. First time having a Green Campechana and it was very good. Generous amount of shrimp, octopus and everything else that goes into a Campechana. The fried fish and shrimp taco plate with cilantro lime rice and black beans also quite delicious.
