So yes, the food was late and cold due to Caviar's food delivery service BUT that's not the worst part. I can easily warm food up but how do I make food less CHEWY and HARD? I ordered seitan wings and vegan tofu scramble. A "tofu scramble" is meant to be tofu and all of the ingredients mixed in like an egg scramble, not blocks of fried tofu with peppers thrown in. Also, how do I convey this this through text, the potatoes feel like I'm eating rocks. Like they made them yesterday, froze them and microwaved them to serve me today. The seitan wings are also beyond edible, so chewy, I feel like my jaw will unhinge. I don't understand how they "cooked" any of this and am so disappointed and very hungry because all of this is going straight to the garbage. If my teeth can't bite through this, I'm not messing my stomach up by trying to digest this rubber.

I was hoping to go to Royal Tavern across the street, but it was closed due to renovations. Luckily Avenue Cup and its cook came to the rescue with some highly delicious vegan breakfast options. I highly recommend the Huevos Rancheros with a side of toast. You'll feel like you're in Spain having some European delights! Overall, this Bella Vista hole-in-the-wall is tasty, affordable, and convenient! I'm definitely going back.

Wonderful neighborhood cafe with a cause (autism support). Great sandwiches, wraps, and paninis. Service is quick and the owner and staff are very friendly. They'll happily engage in conversations with customers when things aren't too busy! Lots of vegan options but also serves dishes with eggs and/or dairy. Be sure to stop by for the all-you-can-eat pancake fundraiser events!

Our food took an hour due to a giant caviar order as soon as they opened up, which was unfortunate (I understand there were only 2 people working, but it sucks they got priority). I ordered the tofu scramble, but as another reviewer said it's blocks of hard fried tofu/ seitan mixed with veggies. My potatoes were good, but it was a little disappointing after the long wait. Other members of our party got a breakfast sandwich (they said was dry), the breakfast burrito (which was good) and the banana bread French toast (which they enjoyed). I was disappointed, but not all of the food was. I might give it another try when I'm in the area again.

Great coffee and a homey feel. They are just opening up, but the vibe fits the neighborhood. Definitely stop in if you're looking for good coffee (reasonably priced too) or a quick bite (if you're cool with vegetarian or some vegan options).

I gave it a 3 star, but I'm being generous!! Too high on the price for quality and quantity of food.
