This is a special place. Prayers from the sisters are heard above (many answered). A special spiritual feeling every time I visit to just pray or attend Mass.

Beautiful church, home to the Carmelite Sisters. Mass in the extraordinary form everyday by FSSP priest. Very welcoming community.

I went to the Carmelite Monastery to visit and see the relics of St. Therese and her family, Zelie, Louis, and Leonie to beg for the healing of my sister. We attended the Saturday 7pm and the afterwards the lay people made sure we got some of the St. Albert's water which many miracles are attributed to from the nuns. The lay people were very kind and helpful telling us about miracles, relics, and encouraging us to enroll our loved ones in a Perpetual mass enrollment which I did. Some of the folks travel over one hour to attend the mass for the novena to Our Lady of Mount Carmel. It is clear that the Carmelites have a dedicated lay community around them that are happy and want others to know the power of prayer and love of Jesus and Mary.

Went to Mass this past Sunday with the cloistered Carmelites Order on N. Broad St. at 66th Avenue- a literal oasis of contemplation on a bustling City corridor. Their stunning singing and prayers from the Nuns on the other side of the iron gates at the back of the altar- was so ridiculously beautiful. Also present: young families with children, diverse congregants, and a fantastic Priest presiding with 6 assisting seminarians and priests at his side. Predominantly a Latin Mass with exception of Gospel and Homily- and sacred, reverential, moving, mystical- and yet also so real and present. They have opened their doors for early morning daily Mass now, and even if one wishes to just sit with the Sisters and listen to their chanting music- it strengthens, grounds, and allows one more power to move towards Loving action. Grateful their own contemplative life allowed me that experience. Will definitely add to my favorite Catholic Masses to visit throughout the City...

The Mass is offered in the usus antiquior and it is done beautifully. The sisters have great singing voices, and the priest stationed there gives excellent sermons. The monastery was built in the early 1900s and the chapel appears to have remained unaffected architecturally.
