I have been taking classes for 5 years now with Secret Circus. It has become my home away from home! The coaches, who are accomplished artists in their own right, teach classes at every level. Their lesson planning is thoughtfully challenging as well as inspiring. The rigging is safe and ceilings are wonderfully high. The community is like no other - always supportive, friendly, and fun. Highly recommend!!
Secret Circus is an enormously fun and safe place to learn incredible new skills. Coaches here strive to make aerial arts as accessible and exciting as possible. This is not only an encouraging community full of artists/athletes, but also a community made of beginners, working parents, students, and folks of all walks of life - all of whom make classes so welcoming.
Secret Circus is the best. I've been taking classes with them for years, their whole staff is wonderful, and they take safety incredibly seriously. Don't be nervous about starting from zero - I had absolutely no strength when took my first beginner class, they really know how to build up and make it fun from the very beginning. Their Zoom conditioning classes have been a godsend during the lockdown. Their current home on Erie Ave is in kind of a weird location, but those spectacularly high industrial ceilings are worth the trouble to get there. Give it a try, it's so much fun!
Recommend this school to anyone and everyone. They accommodate every level from someone who’s never taken a class all the way up someone who’s been training for years, no matter your skill level there’s something for everyone. All of the coaches are amazing at what they do and make the classes both fun and educational. Whether your looking for trapeze, silks, lyra, hammock, rope, or just a stretch class, they’re the place to go! Genuinely cannot say enough good things about this place. Not only is it a great school, it’s an amazing environment where everyone can feel welcome and safe.
Secret Circus is seriously amazing! Whether you're looking for a great workout, an awesome community or just curious about circus this is the place. No experience necessary, the instructors will make you feel safe and welcomed from day 1 as they help you grow in the aerial arts. What started as a 1 time class out of curiosity has turned into years of lessons, a stronger core, friendships, and experiences I will never forget.
This is a safe space for learning, for fun and for finding an amazing community! Build for strength and grace at the same time. Love, love, love Secret Circus and every one of its talented teachers.
This is an AMAZING place. I am still a beginner but the positive atmosphere makes me feel right at home. Niff runs a tight ship and makes it fun and safe. All the instructors are extremely knowledgeable and easy to talk to! Highly highly recommend!!
