The Philomath Frolic and Rodeo is the best rodeo ever! It is great because it is small enough that you are in the action not just an observer. I recall more than once dirt flying up into the stands while bronc rides occur. The parade is fun to go to. The breakfast and bbq chicken dinners are amazing. The rodeo is really fun to watch being so close. I remember years past when the clown J.J. Harrison riding a bull backwards and another year he got my father up to dance with him. My father never danced that way before. It was great! All of the events are top notch. The live music and dancing is amazing too! There is a family feel here with a section for families and underage individuals able to enjoy the music and dancing fenced away from the bar area. Did I mention the phenomenal wooden bar! Wow it is gorgeous! The food and drinks are great too! Fireworks are featured on some nights as well. Even with the pandemic although the rodeo didn't happen that same sense of family unity came to together for an amazing fireworks display enjoyed in your own vehicle. It was great!!!

I have always enjoyed events put on at the Philomath Rodeo grounds. It is a great facility, plenty of covered seating and parking. The kids had a great Youth finals here, the ground is always good and the town is so friendly.

This event is a joint event between the Shriners and theYouth Rodeo Association for the Youth Rodeo Finals. The Association puts on the rodeo and the Shriners put on the food and extra stuff. Shriners this is a fun raiser for the Shriners hospital for Children.
