We hired Shasta pools to install our pool and they sub contract with Accurate Pool Co to install all the tile on the accent wall and in the pool. We asked them to install 13x26 porcelain tile instead of the ledger stone on a 40 square foot accent wall where the water spouts are located. They were non responsive to numerous queries about this and we didn't receive a response until Shasta Pools stepped in. They then just made us bend over backwards to order a small quantity of the tile and get it out to the site asap without stating how much this would cost though we asked. We had to pay a premium to get it rushed out and then they turned around and wanted to charge us Two Thousand dollars to not use the ledger stone we already paid for in order to use the 13x26. Shasta tried to get them to come down in price for the labor since all tile experts that we spoke to stated that my tile was easier to install than the ledger stone. Accurate Pool owners kept saying it would just cost more because it was harder and they would only come down to 1 thousand dollars. That's 25 per square foot and they have already been paid for the tile and labor to install the ledger. They are unreasonable, unresponsive and inflexible. The problem is that they are the only company that Shasta Pools uses and so they think they can do whatever they want and there's nothing Shasta can do about it. Shasta tried and tried to get them to work with us on this and they were steadfast in their refusal. I would recommend that anyone that wants a company that is customer service oriented and flexible, not work with this company. There isn't a tile company in this entire country that would charge that kind of money to install tile. Now we have to keep the ledger stone, demo the stone once the pool is completed and retile. This is ridiculous. This is how they treat customers, BEWARE!
