I did not know what to expect with this internship but I was pleasantly surprised with the experience. All the staff is very knowledgeable and are ready to help you with anything. I was able to learn a lot of new skills like customer service, resume building, and how to improve your self talk. We were able to go on numerous field trips as well to get real world experience such as going to a job fair and various colleges in Arizona. Overall, this internship and ACYR is a great non-profit organization and I recommend it as an internship location and as a place for resources.

ACYR is a well established organization with friendly staff and interns who greet everyone with open arms. The opportunities available to Youth are extraordinary with efficient results. The foundation of the Center's High School, several youth programs involving young people with awesome assets like health, education and workforce provided valuable skills and knowledge about the real world and how a young person can thrive. I was real exicted to be given the opportunity to work for this organzation as my first real job the experience was more worth the time investment. Options given to youth are felixable according to their schedule. The postion I chose for the Summer Rise Internship program provided me with hands on training valued work experience, and after learning from them I was able to help them on the job professionally and effectively. Also with the help of other staff members involving the interns with activities it was an absolute pleasure to show up bright and early every single morning to go to work.
