I took my MR2 engine here for a rebuild, the quality was decent but there were a few minor cosmetic issues with it. Several mating surfaces had old gasket material still on them and it looks like they painted it then wrapped it for pickup so the paint got a wrinkled texture because of the wrapping. After install, I had to repair two leaking freeze plugs that didn’t have an adequate amount of RTV around them. Other than that, the engine was built well and I’m glad they were able to work on it for me. Turn around time was good.

Great service great warrentys. They walk you through the shop and explain how they are going to rebuild your engine. The customer service is awesome and David was very helpful when we brought our truck back in for service.

Took my 2001 Nissan Frontier SC here back at the end of 2018 for an engine reman job, exactly what they say they do. Ended up needing a crank sensor, knock sensor, water pump, radiator, 1 injector, spark plugs, exhaust manifold, and apparently a new wiring harness. I didn't question this list of additional parts due to the age of the vehicle but I should have. This is my spare truck so rarely driven the past 2 yrs. Miles when I took it in 148,674 and miles as of Jan 11th, 2021 159,211. Truck is turned over and idles weekly and I typically drive it on the weekends for errands to Home Depot, odd jobs, etc... Now that you have the back story let me inform you why the rating. I turned over the truck beginning of January and it had a rough idle with codes pulling for Knock Sensor, Crank Sensor, and the MAF sensor didn't appear to be operating correctly either. I've since taken it into Pep Boys and they've confirmed that they show odes for the Knock, Crank Shaft, and Cam Shaft sensor, all of which were technically replaced 10,537 miles ago (2 Oil Changes). Being that the work completed by Arizona Engine Rebuilding is far out of warranty there's nothing I can do so I authorized the work on the Knock & Crank shaft sensors to get started. Once they pulled in the truck and started dismantling they instantly noticed that the wiring is far from new, in some cases no connector ends just butt connecters & electrical tape, . They also noticed that the seals had gasket maker in place rather a real gasket which I was charged for and the intake manifold was torqued on so tight it cracked when they finally got it loose. Upon opening further they found a loose bolt in the intake, several small oil leaks, and 2 spark plugs that were Gapped incorrectly. Moral of the story here, be careful and be sure to do your diligence. I'm now another 2k into a truck with Pep Boys and it cost me nearly 3,700 for the job these guys did, not to mention it took nearly 6 wks to get my truck back.
